About Dr. Katja Riedel:

Dr. Katja Riedel is a seasoned Technical Business Development Manager at BRAIN Biotech AG, with over 13 years of experience in biotechnology. She specializes in discovering bioactive substances, optimizing microbial production strains and processes, and enhancing proteins and enzymes. Holding a PhD in molecular biology from the University of Potsdam, Dr. Riedel focuses on the sustainable development of bioproducts through R&D collaborations.

Her solution-oriented mindset and empathetic communication skills have enabled her to build resilient networks and establish lasting professional relationships. As a program manager, she has demonstrated her ability to coordinate research projects in multidisciplinary and multinational environments. Her previous role in the BioActives & Performance Biologicals group showcased her skills in using cell-based methods to discover bioactive molecules by mimicking human sensory perception.

In addition to her professional achievements, Dr. Riedel has shown exemplary leadership with the Junior Chamber International (JCI), serving as a member of the Regional Board and President of the Darmstadt Chapter, reflecting her commitment to community and professional development.
